Tell us about your business! Since 2010, we have been focused on working with businesses of all shapes and sizes to have an effective presence on social media. While some agencies try to do it all, we are focused on all things social. As the social landscape has changed, we have kept businesses current so they can connect with their followers and customers making sure their business's products and services are always top of mind.
We are entrepreneurs just like you, so we know how important being present while also being budget conscious is for any business. We also know how many things you have pulling you in a million directions when all you want to do is work your business. Things like marketing and social media almost always fall to waist side when you are trying to juggle it all yourself. Finding time to do what is needed is just never there.
Our mission is to offer a great service for an affordable price with one goal in mind: connecting you to your customers through social media without you having to lift a finger. We want to take away your stress and be the solution you trust and need.
Why did you choose entrepreneurship? I graduated from college in 2007 and then watched the economy tank. I spent a few years wondering around trying to figure out what to do. I was networking a lot and found myself helping older entrepreneurs with using Facebook. Someone suggested that I make it into a business and now here I am. Necessity is the mother of all invention, right?!
Why do military spouses make great entrepreneurs? We have to be able to deal with anything and a moments notice. From TDYs to having to bake 6 dozen cupcakes for your spouse's squadron event the next day to sick kids to a broken washing machine we are always put in situations where we need to make things happen with a smile on our faces.
What is a "blocker" for you in business. What holds you back? Time! As business grows, my business needs more of my time and that just isn't something we military spouses have in spades. I always make it work, but I can't wait until my husband is back at home station so I can go hide in Starbucks and work.
How has being a military spouse changed your for the better? I am more resourceful than I have ever been. I find that I can do more and better than I ever have before.
What strengths do you possess, that you did not know you had, until you became an entrepreneur? I didn't know I could handle so much and really love it. I never thought being my own boss was going to be for me, but the more I tried to fit into a corporate box the more I realized it wasn't for me. I love the freedom and the power I have that I never knew I needed or wanted.
What would you tell a milspo entrepreneur who is feeling discouraged? Keep trying and you will find your niche. It isn't easy but you need to do you in order to be what you family and spouse needs, even in a military world.
What are your five favorite things that you can not live without as a milspo entrepreneur?
- Internet
- Chai Tea
- Cookies
- Comfy Tank Tops
- Yoga Pants
What is the most amazing thing you have experienced in your business thus far? The freedom to do what I want when I want. I am not chained to a desk. I answer to no one. And I get to do so many things. Like I was selected to beta test Google Glass, that was so fun and it was great to be a part of it.
How do you want to be remembered: I want to be remember as a woman who helped businesses grow through social media and helped other military moms support their families with a viable skill (all while doing it will class and a smile.)
