Let your friends, family, co-workers, and business associates know that it is time to vote for Milspreneur of the Year! Voting ends August 15th at 11:59pm. Winner will be announced August 31, 2015 and honored at EMBARK 2015.

Milspreneur's Business Name and Info: Vizcaya Villa; Fayetteville, NC. "The seven acre estate sits lakeside with breathtaking views of fountains and mature oaks. Completely private and designed specifically for weddings, Vizcaya Villa is an award-winning outdoor wedding venue in Fayetteville, NC."

Jessica Paddock is a military spouse entrepreneur who is deserving of the Milspreneur of the Year Award because she is a role model for the Milspo Project. Paddock is perhaps best known for her renovation of a distressed property in Fayetteville, NC that has become one of the most premiere wedding venues in North Carolina, Vizcaya Villa. Her achievement of making her dream a reality makes her a strong candidate for this award, but I’d say that her positive personality and vision for future projects makes her THE clear winner.

I first met Jessica Paddock in the summer of 2014 where she spoke as a guest speaker at a Fayetteville Young Professionals’ Lunch and Learn Speaker Series sponsored by the Fayetteville Regional Chamber. She spoke about her ambitions of becoming an entrepreneur and how she and her partner accomplished that goal. She was relatable, real, and inspirational.

It wasn’t long after her introduction that I was warmly invited into her home where she hosts a women’s gathering on a weekly basis. There I quickly learned just why she excels in everything she does- because I got to know her personality. She is always thinking in terms of an entrepreneur vision, welcomes bettering her education, and encourages others with her positive attitude.

Not only is Jessica “making waves” in the community of Fayetteville, where she resides, but her business ethic and influence travels with the military spouses she comes in contact with each day. I cannot think of a better candidate for this award than Jessica Paddock.
